Nursing Services

Nurses (i.e., Registered Nurse; Registered Practical Nurse) within the Great Northern Family Health team work with our team to provide care that promotes health and prevents disease.

Nurses  work with you to assess your needs and work in collaboration to develop a plan of individual care emphasizing the patients’ central role in managing their illness.

 

Our nursing service provides access to a number of programs including:

  • Hypertension Program / 24 Hours Blood Pressure Monitoring (with interpretation by Internist)

  • Well Baby Visits

  • Immunizations

  • Various Injections

  • Cervical Screening (PAP)

  • Post-Hospital Discharge Program (as applicable)

  • Ear Infection Assessment / Ear Syringing

  • Breast Assessment

  • Rash Assessment/Treatment

  • Cryotherapy

  • IUD Removal

  • Pessary Cleaning

  • Urinary Tract Infections

  • Suture/Staple Removal

  • Wound Assessment / Care

  • Yeast Infections

  • Strep Throat

  • Anticoagulation Therapy Monitoring Program (INR/Coumadin)
